Our Executive Committee

 

We will have an executive committee comprised of the following:

 

President

  • Represent THBP at UBC events and work closely with executive team to ensure that the project’s mission and vision are maintained.

  • Chair and facilitate weekly executive meetings.

  • Effectively delegate tasks, motivate entire team and ensure team goals are being met.

  • Facilitate decision making processes and voting within executive team.

  • Foster collaborations and strengthen networks with various clubs/initiatives on campus along with VP External.

  • Work closely with Transition Coordinator and maintain communication with Head organisation (Lions Club, Dar-Es-Salaam) in Tanzania.

  • Accountable for frequently checking President’s email (president.thbp@gmail.com) and replying to emails in a timely manner.

 

VP Finance

  • Attend weekly Executive Team meetings .

  • Accountable for frequently checking THBP email and other communication channels

  • Create a rough yearly budget at the beginning of the year (with the planned events and how much profit will be generated from those events).

  • Update the budget for the events once it becomes more concrete.

  • Be responsible for the bank account.

  • Be responsible for depositing the money raised and the reimbursement.

 

VP Internal   

  • Attend weekly Executive Team meetings

  • Accountable for frequently checking THBP email and other communication channels

  • The main driver for executing Social Events

  • Hire and chair the members of the Social Team.

  • Responsible for communicating with, delegating work, and coordinating a team thats main objective is to brainstorm and successfully execute creative events     

  • Effectively communicate plans and/or changes in events with the rest of the Executive team, VP Marketing in particular, to ensure Event Plan congruency and reduced confusion

  • Assist in advocating tickets sales for events and forming promotional strategies

 

VP Externals   

  • Attend weekly Executive Team meetings

  • Accountable for frequently checking THBP email and other communication channels

  • Attend, represent and spread awareness of THBP at events on and off campus

  • Network with clubs, organisations and pertinent individuals to seek collaboration and donations

  • Seek speakers for and organise at least one academic night as an awareness event

  • Responsible for printing event posters and ensuring posters are equally distributed throughout residences

  • Assist with event planning and ticket sales to ensure event reaches a large audience

 

VP Administration

  • Attend weekly Executive Team meetings

  • Accountable for frequently checking THBP email and other communication channels

  • Take minutes for the executive and team meeting then upload these files to the Facebook group

  • Manage and prepare applications for conferences, grants, awards etc (eg SLC, Global Fund)

  • Assist in booking rooms and locations for events and activities

 

VP Marketing

  • Update and maintain the following:

    • Website

    • Social media networks

    • Video uploads / picture galleries etc

  • Produce documents such as brochures and information booklets for giving out

  • Produce photo and video content

  • Uphold the following:

    • The brand of the project

    • The aesthetic theme of all multimedia

    • The quality standards for any multimedia used

  • Carry out Copyright and plagiarism checks

  • Work with the event planning team to brand events, form marketing strategies for them and deliver the promotion of the event

  • Constantly innovate on the website and social media, ensuring that they are dynamic.

  • Attend weekly Executive committee meetings.
